This album somewhat didn't want to let go of me.
I buy DSBM very seldom; I prefer my stuff, well, heavier. But I'm an emotional creature too: the heaviest riffs won't do if there's no feelings behind them. Here you get feelings aplenty.

A compelling call of obedience to all the sorrows of material death and the abyss of waters in which all the ineffability and beatitudes of dragons dwell. Anatomy of the Heads
It's rather hard to fully explain how this album sounds and I doubt "experimental" would cut it. Each song draws inspiration from different genres, so you'll stumble upon death metal, industrial, doom metal, indie rock, grunge etc. It's a pretty schizophrenic and bizzare album that has a lot to offer.
